I've been wanting to post these AMAZING photos for the last week but between signing up my oldest for her first year of high school next year, 3 dentist appointments, a soon to be 3 year old who has decided to test out what it's like to be in the "Trying Three's" club and me just not having the mental capacity to attempt to think...I am just now posting them!  This last week has just not been super swell.

Anywho, on to better things!  The wonderful Miss Ashley of Mud Goddess is now using two of my rag quilts as part of her props in her photo shoots.  Can I just say that I LOVE the way they look in her photos!  So exciting and I am truly honored to have my quilts used in her beautiful photography.

Going a Little More Traditional...

Like most people (at least I think most people...I mean there are 31 flavors at Baskin Robbins), I'm a fan of variety.  Of course, I usually want all the varieties that are available but none the less I love variety.  With that little rant of blah, blah, blah...let me intoduce you to my newest style of rag quilts.  The Traditional Collection...

While I LOVE my Minky Collection of rag quilts, I wanted to create something a little more traditional with the rag quilts of yesteryear being my inspiration.  I also wanted to give my customers a variety of prices which led me in the direction of these lovely creations...

So here ya go:

(You can find them in my Store...yep, I'm shamelessly promoting my store!  And all in parentheses...I'm pretty cool like that, yo!)

The front of the quilts are made with designer fabrics.  The back has a solid muslin backing.  Kind of like a mullet...except it's party in the front...business in the back! 

Alright, I'm done with this silliness...Peace Out!  Okay, really I'm done....

Oh Darla...

So, I really have been sewing a little!  These past few weeks...okay MONTHS...have been so busy that I find myself only dreaming up new rag quilts and not really having much time to get behind the sewing machine to create them!

I have gotten a few new quilts in the store including the new Darla Baby Rag Quilt Blanket that I am pretty sure is now one of my top 3 favorites ever!

It's Official...

I'm an awful blogger!  Yes, I haven't posted anything since September!  Life has been busy and this time of year is the busiest time of all.  I haven't even really started my Christmas shopping for all three of my kids which makes me feel crazy and pressured to get it done.  Maybe they won't notice if there aren't any presents under the tree...I think not!

A Feeling of Complete Bliss...

Okay, really the title is a little misleading but there have been some blissful things going on these past couple of weeks. 

First off, we started the homeschool year with a new curriculum and style that we (both my daughter and myself) could not be happier with!!  This year we decided to put aside the "books" and go with a more modern (and way more organized) approach.  The Switched-On Schoolhouse (SOS) program does all of the schoolwork on the computer as well as the grading and scheduling for the day.  Let me tell ya, that makes it easier for ALL of us.  I was a little skeptical of the program beforehand but after using it this for the past few weeks...I am LOVING it and my daughter does, too!  Even more awesome is that she is really retaining everything she is learning more than before because there are side videos, games and spelling bees throughout the lesson which also make it so much more fun for her!  Yes, I know I've gone a little overboard on the subject of homeschooling here but really, I am just so thrilled with it...

Another reason for my Blissfullness would have to be my newest rag quilt and cordinating rag quilt loveys in the new Bliss fabric collection by Bonnie and Camille.  I am so loving this line of fabric and will definitely be creating some items for my living room with it.  It's so fantastic.  Really, everything this mother and daughter designing team do makes me smile but the Bliss collection makes me giggle grin...it's that good!
